Content images

Quick reference: Images in the middle column should normally be no larger than 352 pixels wide and should not exceed more than two images per screen shot. Images in the right column should be no larger than 162 pixels wide and should not exceed more than one image per news item or announcement.

These are images within the center text column or the right news/links column — the only areas of the template, other than the banner image, where images are allowed to be placed. Images are not permitted in the left navigation column, footer or empty areas on the right of the template.

Middle column

Images should normally be no larger that 352 pixels square. Images can be displayed in portrait, landscape or square orientation. The images can be left justified or right justified, but not centered.

In instances where the image needs to be larger to adequately display detail or other attributions, please work with ITS-WS (Kimberly Pasko) to develop appropriate styles. See the style guide for appropriate styles to add image captions, or right/left justify the image in the text.

When placing images within the middle content column, use no more than two images per screen shot. In other words, at any given time the user should see no more than two images in the middle column.

Right column

Images should be no larger than 162 pixels wide. The images should be either right or left justified within the text or right or left justified above the text. See the style guide for appropriate styles to add image captions, or right/left justify the image.

Use no more than one image per news item or announcement item: typically no more than one per paragraph.
