Noncompliance to Isolation Precautions
Report all instances where patients or their visitors are non-compliant with isolation precautions and other infection control measures to the Hospital Epidemiology (8-4634) and to the Office of Risk Management/Medicolegal Affairs (8-2290) for investigation and follow-up.

For non-compliant patients with a known communicable disease, such as active pulmonary tuberculosis, a restraining order requiring enforced hospitalization may be obtained by the legal counsel of the Hospital if such action is deemed necessary for the safety of other patients, hospital personnel, and the community at large.
