Contact Precaution Modification of Procedures |

Contact Precaution procedures may be modified to meet individual
patient needs provided such modifications have been reviewed
and approved by the Hospital Epidemiologist and/or the Infection
Control Committee or their designated representatives.
Quality of Care The quality of a patient's care must not be compromised by the need for Contact Precautions. Patients on Contact Precautions should leave their rooms only for essential purposes. However, diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures should not be deferred if the delay will compromise patient care. |
