Airborne Precautions
Documentation Criteria
The order for Airborne Precautions, as all isolation orders beyond Standard Precautions, must be entered into CCSS in addition to recording the information in the "History and Progress Notes" section of the medical record.

To enter the CCSS order, after selecting the patient, click on Master Guide.

Then, select "Isolation". To enter the order for Airborne Precautions, select "Airborne" and then "Enter".

Note: Once the patient no longer requires Airborne Precautions, remove the isolation order by selecting "Clear Isolation/Precaution".
