Directions to the Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital
If you are going to the Pediatric Specialty Center, Pediatric Diagnostic Radiology or Pediatric Physical Therapy, use the Children’s Hospital Underground Garage. The garage is also available to other visitors during the hours of weekdays 4 p.m to 9 p.m and weekends and holidays 12:30 to 9 p.m.
If you are going to the Children’s Hospital and you have a handicap permit for your car, or you are admitting a child or are scheduled for ambulatory surgery or interventional procedure, please use the Children's Hospital valet service. The valet service drop-off is located at the main entrance of the Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital on the corner of Park Street and Howard Avenue.
If you are visiting a patient in the Children’s Hospital, you may use the Children’s Hospital Underground Garage during weekdays from 4 to 9 p.m and on weekends and holidays from 12:30 to 9:00 p.m. At all other times, please use the Yale-New Haven Hospital Air Rights Garage.
Directions to the Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital Underground Garage
If you are traveling to New Haven on I-95 from the North or South:
Take Exit 47 onto Route 34 toward downtown New Haven. On Route 34 take Exit 3 which becomes North Frontage Rd. Stay in left lane and pass through intersection with York Street. At the second light, turn left onto Park Street. On Park, proceed to the second light. Turn left onto Howard Avenue. On Howard, turn left at first light onto York Street. Turn left into the Children’s Hospital Garage.
If you are traveling to New Haven on I-91 South:
Take Exit 1 onto Route 34 toward downtown New Haven. On Route 34 take Exit 3 which becomes North Frontage Road. Stay in the left-most lane and pass through the light at the intersection with York Street. At the second light, turn left onto Park Street.
If you are traveling to New Haven on the Merritt/Wilbur Cross Parkway from the direction of New York City:
On the Parkway, take Exit 54 for connector to I-95. At end of connector, take I-95 north toward New Haven. On I-95 take Exit 47 onto Route 34 toward downtown New Haven. On Route 34 take Exit 3 which becomes North Frontage Road. Stay in the left lane and at the second light; turn left onto Park Street. On Park, proceed to the second light. Turn left onto Howard Avenue. On Howard, proceed to the first light and turn left onto York Street. Turn left into the Children’s Hospital Garage.
If you are traveling to New Haven on the Wilbur Cross Parkway from the direction of Hartford:
On the Parkway, take Exit 57 to Route 34 East. Follow Route 34 East for 4.4 miles to E.T. Grasso Boulevard. Turn right on E.T. Grasso (Route 34 East. Route 10 South). On E.T. Grasso, proceed to the second light and turn left onto Legion Avenue, which becomes South Frontage Road. Follow South Frontage to fifth light and turn right on Park Street. On Park, proceed to the first light. Turn left onto Howard Avenue. On Howard, proceed to the first light and turn left onto York Street. Turn left into the Children’s Hospital Garage.
If you are traveling to New Haven on Route 34 East from the direction of Waterbury:
Follow Route 34 East, cross Merritt/Wilbur Cross Parkway, and go 4.4 miles to E.T. Grasso Boulevard. Turn right at light on E.T. Grasso (Route 34 East Route 10 South). On E.T. Grasso, proceed to the second light and turn left onto Legion Avenue, which becomes South Frontage Road. Follow South Frontage to fifth light and turn right on Park Street. On Park, proceed to the first light. Turn left onto Howard Avenue. On Howard, proceed to the first light and turn left onto York Street. Turn left into the Children’s Hospital Garage.
