| Martha C. Highsmith is Deputy Secretary of the University and has been a maker and collector of quilts for 25 years. A Presbyterian minister, she quilts regularly with a group at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in West Hartford, where she is a part-time parish associate. Her recent quilts use a technique called watercolor, where the arrangement of small squares forms the design of the quilt. |
