Tristan Robin BlakemanTristan Robin Blakeman, M.F.A , became a fabric artist after twenty years experience as an award-winning director, actor, set and costume designer. In the quilting world, there are "traditional," patterned quilts, and free-form, "art" quilts; Tristan has been described as a "traditional art" quilt maker. He starts with classic block patterns, but the block becomes the medium for communicating a specific mood or story. Tristan is sensitive to the ways that color and form communicate specific intentions and likes the drama of contrasting colors and shapes that work together in harmony. .
