Welcome to the Yale Health Professional Schools' Hunger & Homelessness Auction website!
The Live and Silent Auction will be on Thursday November 17th at 5:00PM in E.S. Harkness Hall Ballroom & Marigolds Lounge. We hope to see you there!
The auction is organized annually by members of the Yale Medicine, Nursing, Physician Associates, and Public Health programs to raise awareness and money for the hungry and homeless people in Greater New Haven. All proceeds are donated to local non-profit organizations.
We are happy to announce that professional auctioneering services will be provided by Wade Brubacher. Mr Brubacher has been an important member of the Yale community since his children attended Yale professional schools (Kate, Yale Law and Jake, YSM). He has graciously agreed to reprise the role of auctioneer at this year's event and we are excited to have him return to Yale. He currently resides in Kansas with his wife and manages the Brubacher Auction Company. Come out to see a skilled auctioneer in action and support the Hunger and Homelessness Auction!
Last year, the auction raised over $29,000 to benefit the following organizations that do good work to combat hunger and homelessness in New Haven:
- Emergency Shelter Management Service
- Community Health Care Van
- Loaves and Fishes
- Domestic Violence Services of Greater New Haven
- Community Soup Kitchen
- Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen
- Columbus House
- New Haven Home Recovery
- Christian Community Action

This year we hope to increase awareness for the vulnerable and neglected population in Greater New Haven. Our goal also is to raise $35,000 to be donated to local non-profit organizations that continue to provide innovative solutions to alleviate hunger and homelessness. Get involved with the auction by donating or joining one of the many committees that make this event possible. Thank you in advance for all of your support and generosity.
Please contact Victoria Tate, Lauren Hibler, or Anna Duncan with any questions.
