Our affiliation with the Yale Program for Women's Reproductive Behavioral Health (WRBH) advances our work in understanding the interaction of hormones, mood, and cognition as each relate to the reproductive system and behavior.

The WRBH conducts research and provides clinical consultation services to women experiencing mood-related changes prior to menstruation, during and after pregnancy, and during the menopause transition. WRBH is operated jointly by Yale University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and the Connecticut Mental Health Center.
Director: Cynthia Neill Epperson, M.D., Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences.
WRBH is pleased to announce that four physicians who are psychiatrists in training with Dr. Epperson are available to provide consultations for women whose mental health issues are intertwined with their reproductive and/or hormonal status. This includes women suffering from depression/anxiety either during pregnancy or after delivery, premenstrual depressed mood, or depression/anxiety during the menopause.

Consultations/treatment provided by psychiatrists in training are provided free of charge.
Dr. Epperson, the WRBH Director, supervises psychiatrists in training on all clinical cases. Dr. Epperson is also available for private consultations on a fee-for-service basis. Dr. Epperson is not paneled with any insurance companies. Thus, payment is due at the time of service.

All research studies and services at WRBH are at no cost to the client, and health insurance is not necessary. Only qualifying individuals will be eligible for research participation at WRBH.
