Confidentiality Agreements
Although all work is carried out in confidence, the Keck Laboratory will sign a more
formal confidentiality agreement providing it is approved by the Yale University School of
Medicine Office of Grants and Contracts. If you would like such an agreement, we strongly
urge that you use the standard agreement which may be found
HERE.
In this instance you should mail two original, signed copies to:
Renee D. Cofrancesco
W.M. Keck Facility
Yale University
300 George Street
Box 201
New Haven, CT 06511
Upon approval by the Office of Grants and Contracts one of these signed copies will be
returned to you. If the standard confidentiality agreement is not satisfactory, we will
consider other agreements but several weeks may be required to have them approved and/or
modified as necessary.
Orders Originating From Outside Yale
Requests from outside Yale are welcome. Because of the higher costs incurred in
handling these request, orders from non-Yale institutions are subject to the surcharges
indicated in the Service Charge listing. In addition, turnaround
times for non-Yale samples will often be somewhat longer than those listed above. A
summary of the data from outside orders will be FAXed and the complete data package then
sent via mail. Synthetic peptides and oligonucleotides will be returned by
Federal Express.

Radioactive Samples

will be accepted for certain protein chemistry services provided the total activity is
less than 1.0 µCi and that prior approval has been obtained from
Mary LoPresti, Nancy Williams, Myron Crawford,
or
Kathy Stone. No
radioactive samples will be accepted without prior approval and without
following proper procedures for transfers within Yale or from outside of Yale.
Radioactive (and/or other hazardous material) samples can NOT be walked or
otherwise transported to 300 George Street without the assistance of OEHS. A
copy of these procedures will be sent upon request. All analyses carried out on
radioactive samples will, in addition, be subject to a $100 handling fee.
Credit Card Orders
If purchase orders can not be issued at your institution please notify the Keck
Laboratory that you will make payment via a
credit card

Invoicing
All requests for analyses and syntheses must be submitted with a valid purchase order
number from your institution. Please keep in mind that no work can begin prior to receipt
of the purchase order number - which will be referenced by the Keck Laboratory to invoice
your institution. Please note that in some instances a record of estimated charges will
accompany the data or synthetic oligo or peptide that has been requested. This record of
estimated charges is not an invoice. Invoices are mailed monthly and generally
within 30 days of the completion of the requested analysis or synthesis. All invoice
payments should then be made via bank check or bank wire transfer within 30 days.
