The center treats some 5,500 people each year. All services at CMHC are offered without regard to a persons ability to pay. Yales multidisciplinary basic and clinical science laboratories at CMHC are on the frontier of research into the causes and treatment of mental illness.
The medical school also provides clinical services for two New Haven health care groups, the Hill Health Center and the Yale Health Plan, an HMO serving Yale faculty, staff, and students.
