Our Mission
To offer innovative, appealing workplace learning programs and resources
that provide people with an opportunity to acquire the skills that they
need for maximum job performance, both now and in the future.
Goals
- Provide focused learning programs about YSM business processes and
applications.
- Provide integrated online and classroom training that promote easy,
timely access to job-related training, information and tools.
- Coordinate the delivery of useful, just-in-time training on administrative
topics to the YSM business community.
- Promote effective performance development practices through the delivery
of standards and performance management tools.
Programs
Continuous learning begins at Orientation and persists throughout an
employee's career. YSM Training provides opportunities for employees to
acquire the skills and knowledge that are needed not only in today's job,
but also in response to changing job requirements.
Programs focusing on business policies, processes and procedures are
offered in the areas of finance, operations, computer technology, and
human resource management.
Major elements of these training programs include:
- Yale School of Medicine New Employee Orientation.
- Business policies and procedures (e.g., Human Resources, Grants and
Contracts, Finance, etc.).
- Business application tools (e.g., Oracle, BMS, Brio).
- IT training (e.g., Information Security, Email, Operating System Basics).
