The Yale Department of Therapeutic Radiology is well represented at the 2008 Meeting of the American Radium Society in Laguna Niguel California, May, 2008
Yale clinical investigators have had 5 abstracts accepted for podium presentations and an additional 2 abstracts selected for poster presentation. In addition, Lynn D. Wilson, MD, MPH is an invited speaker for the panel on lung cancer and Meena Moran, MD is an invited moderator for the post graduate course on breast cancer.
This year, eight travel and four essay grant awards have been given and members of the Yale department have received one of each in recognition for their work(Shane Lloyd-YSM, and James Yu, MD).
Dr. Wilson has also been appointed as the Chairman of the American Radium Society Scientific Program Committee for 2009. The meeting will take place in Vancouver.
