Residency Training Program
in Psychiatry
Fellowships
To consider your application,
we need a few items:
- Universal Application Form (Adobe Acrobat PDF file, print and fill-in), including 2.5" X 2.5" color photo
- personal statement explaining your interests & goals for advanced training
- copy of your current resume
- three letters of reference
- copy of USMLE scores or copy of license from a state that requires passing of all USMLE steps
- copy of medical school diploma
- medical school transcript
- Dean's letter from your medical school (or verification letter from your medical school)
Letters of reference must be mailed by the authors of the letters directly to our program. One of the letters of reference must be from your general psychiatry residency Program Director. Applicants must waive the right of access to these letters. Please inform the letter writer to include this fact in their letter.
If you are an International Medical Graduate,
please also include a copy of your ECFMG certificate. If you are not a U.S citizen, please include a copy of your visa or other immigration paperwork.
Mail all materials to the faculty member
listed as the fellowship contact.
General Requirements
Applicant must be a graduate (or expect to be a graduate) in good standing of an ACGME-accredited residency in adult or child psychiatry.
Applicants should be licensed to practice as a physician in the State
of Connecticut, or be able to obtain their license at the beginning of
their fellowship. Applicants who are not citizens or permanent residents
of the United States must have an appropriate visa or very good reason
to believe they will be able to obtain a visa in a timely fashion (typically
a J1 visa).
