Research Interest
Dr. Nuro's primary area of interest is in working to help bridge the gap between clinical research and practice. As training coordinator for the Center she has participated in the development and dissemination of training packages, which include manuals and videotapes for psychotherapies that have been shown to be effective in the treatment of substance abuse (Cognitive Behavioral Treatment, Twelve Step Facilitation Therapy, and Compliance Enhancement). In addition, she provides consultation to researchers and training to clinicians who are interested in delivering these manualized psychotherapies to patients in clinical trials and/or in real world clinical settings.
