Education: 1983 B.S., University of Wyoming Clinical/Research Interests:The developmental period of adolescence represents an opportune period to study emerging patterns of psychological relatedness and symptomatic behavior that may pose serious implications for later adult adjustment. I am particularly interested in the impact that traumatic events, such as childhood abuse and the exposure to community violence may have on the development and symptomatic expression of psychopathology—specifically as related to adolescent depression, aggression, substance abuse, PTSD, and personality dysfunction. Clinically, I am also interested in psychodynamic psychotherapy with adolescents and adults, consultation to schools, and psychological assessment with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
