Behavioral Health Services at Hamden – This agency offers a comprehensive range of outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment for adults and the elderly. Presenting problems that can be addressed by the staff include life adjustment issues, family conflict, and psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. General services include intake and evaluation, crisis intervention, individual, group, family and couples treatment, psychiatric evaluations and medication evaluation and management. Specialized programming focuses on psychosocial rehabilitation for individuals in need of continuing care, dual diagnosis services and dialectical behavioral therapy. A reduced fee is available for those with limited ability to pay who live in the town of Hamden.
