PRIME Research Clinic

Eligibility:

Individuals between the ages of 10-45 may be eligible to participate in the PRIME Research Clinic.

Risk Identification:

Individuals at risk for developing a serious mental illness often experience changes in their behaviors, mood, thoughts, or experiences.

Risk Factors Include:

  • Suspiciousness or mistrust of others
  • Changes in the way things look or sound
  • Odd thinking or behavior
  • Poor personal hygiene
  • Increased difficulty at work or school
  • Problems concentrating
  • Difficulties thinking clearly
  • Withdrawal from friends and family
  • Emotional outbursts or lack of emotions
  • Confusion about one's identity and future
  • Feeling depressed or anxious

Family History of Mental Illness:

An individual who has a family member with a serious mental illness and who is experiencing mental or emotional problems, difficulties in work or school, interpersonal difficulties, or behavioral problems may also be at risk for developing a serious mental illness.
