PRIME Research ClinicDiagnostic Measure:The Structured Interview for Prodromal Syndromes (SIPS) is a semi-structured clinical interview that has been developed by researchers at the PRIME Research Clinic. Translated into 15 languages and used worldwide, the SIPS is used to diagnose the presence of a prodromal syndrome and to rule out the presence of psychosis. The SIPS is designed to be used in conjunction with a generic diagnostic measure for identifying concomitant or alternative Axis I and II diagnoses. The Scale of Prodromal Symptoms-Repeated Measures Version (SOPS-RM), also developed by researchers at PRIME, measures the severity of mild psychotic-related symptoms and the change in symptoms over time. It is a repeated measures instrument that, in the prodromal population, is intended to be used after the SIPS has established the diagnosis of a prodromal syndrome. If you think you know someone who may be prodromal, please refer him/her to the PRIME Research Clinic for an evaluation by our expert staff. We are available to discuss any questions you might have at: 1-866-AT-PRIME (1-866-287-7463). Rater Training:As diagnosing a prodromal syndrome involves a complex clinical assessment, the SIPS and the SOPS are designed to be administered by mental health professionals who have completed training by a certified SIPS/SOPS rater. Anyone interested in participating in such training should contact Dr. Tandy Miller at: tandy.miller@yale.edu or 1-866-AT-PRIME. Translations:The SIPS has been translated into 15 different languages. Anyone who is interested in receiving information regarding translations should contact Dr. Tandy Miller at: tandy.miller@yale.edu or 1-866-AT-PRIME. Last modified:
