Ketamine Anesthesia for Electroconvulsive Therapy

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the choice of anesthetic drug (Ketamine or Thiopental) used during ECT can reduce the memory related side effects typically experienced during ECT and whether differences in the antidepressant effects of ECT are dependent on the type of anesthesia used.
