Butler to speak at 8th Annual Muriel Banquer Lecture, April 2nd.

"THE LONGEVITY REVOLUTION: The Benefits and Challenges of Living a Long Life", will be presented by Robert Butler, M.D., President & CEO, International Longevity Center, Thursday, April 2, 2:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. The Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale, 80 Wall Street, New Haven CT 06511

Dr. Butler recognized discrimination against the elderly as early as 1968, coining the term “ageism.” A true visionary, Dr. Butler has led a long and industrious career as a gerontologist, psychiatrist, Pulitzer Prize winning author, founding director of the National Institute on Aging of the National Institutes of Health, and founding director of the nation’s first department of geriatrics at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Butler has authored more than 300 scientific and medical articles.
