Mary
L. Warner MMSc., PA-C graduated from Emory University PA Program in 1991.
She practiced clinically in Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Mary's Hospital in
Waterbury Connecticut and at Bridgeport Hospital. During this time she began
precepting both Yale and Quinnipiac University PA students. She then, worked
as a Physician Assistant in Cardiac Surgery at Bridgeport Hospital for five
years. Appointed by the former Governor Rowland, she served as the PA member of the Connecticut Medical Examining Board from 1999 to 2006.
In 2000, she came to Yale as the Assistant Director for the Didactic Curriculum.
In August 2004, she was named Program Director and Assistant Dean. She is currently the chair of the Small Grants Committee of the Physician Assistant Education Association Research Institute and a site visitor for the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant.
She lives in New Haven with her family.
Research Interests:
Academic predictors of success; physician assistant workforce issues; clinical
skills assessment.
