The goal of our advocacy efforts is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach his or her fullest potential. Advocacy initiatives in the Department of Pediatrics encompass a variety of programs sponsored by the Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital, the State, and the Department.
Parenting Support Programs
The Nurturing Programs
Starting off with your new baby is a time of excitement. Parents are
every child's first and best teachers. The programs below offer support
to new parents as they encounter the challenges and questions of normal
child development.
State-Sponsored Programs for Special Children
The Department of Pediatrics is designated by the State of Connecticut as a resource for children whose lives are affected by the following conditions.
Department Programs
In addition to its many programs for children with particular health issues, the Department of Pediatrics also sponsors programs for the following pediatric populations.
