Benefits of Giving to Yale Pediatrics

Gifts to support children's health at Yale allows us to take great leaps forward with vital initiatives, programs, and facilities, which significantly improve the health and well being of children. Our mission for the care of infant, children, and adolescents is CLEAR.

We recognize and honor philanthropic gifts to Yale Pediatrics. Please know your generosity will change a child's life and we are grateful for your support.

1921 Foundation Society

Pediatric care has a long and rich history at Yale extending back to the early 1800s. It was in 1921 that the Department of Pediatrics at Yale was organized on a full-time basis and began its far-reaching effect on the understanding of children and their diseases. We welcome our friends who make a gift up to $499 into the 1921 Foundation Society and share our gratitude by recognizing your generosity in the Yale Pediatrics annual report.

Eli Ives Healing Society

Today it is difficult to imagine health care without seeing pediatric medicine as its own specialty for the care of children. Eli Ives (1778 - 1861) pioneered the teaching of pediatrics in the United States. He was the first academic pediatrician in the U.S. and served as the Yale Professor of Diseases of Children. We honor his legacy to develop and train physicians to see the care of children in its own right. Members of the Eli Ives Healing Society given between $500 and $999 and are among a group of friends supporting the care and cure of our most vulnerable population: infants, children, and adolescents. Benefits of this society include a subscription to our Pediatric Update publication and recognition in our Yale Pediatrics annual report.

Martha Eliot Champion Society

Martha Eliot was a pioneer in maternal and child health, a leading pediatrician, and an important architect of programs for maternal and child health. She is widely recognized for her contributions in developing services and preventive measures on behalf of children's health, which continue to have an impact on improving health care for children and strengthening the support of pediatric education. Eliot was a member of the Yale Pediatric faculty from 1921 to 1935. She was a champion of children's health and helped found the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and the World Health Organization (WHO). As a Martha Eliot Champion you are part of a rich legacy that serves to advocate for the care and enhancement of children's health. Our Martha Eliot Champions given between $1,000 and $9,999. We show our appreciation with a subscription to our publications, invite you to hear first hand about our work through our educational forums, and recognize your gift in our Yale Pediatrics annual report.

Children's Health Heroes Society

The healing of children's bodies and minds as well as the advancement of critical pediatric medical treatment and research is at the core of what we do for children at Yale. Unexpected concepts and great discoveries are realized through the thoughtful generosity of individuals who join our Children's Health Heroes Society. We thank our Children's Health Heroes Society members who give between $10,000 and $49,999 with subscription to our publications, invitations to educational forums and social events, and recognize your generosity in the Yale Pediatrics annual report and the Yale University donor report.
