What students say about clinical training

Yale attracts the best and brightest residents year after year and maintains a very active and interactive faculty and staff. Yale students, especially the minority students, have numerous vehicles in place that allow for academic, clinical, and personal exchange with this medical community. As I near the end of my "Yale Experience," I can honestly say, without reservation, that I made the right choice.
Scott Porter,Morehouse College, 'YSM '98

Our clerkships and elective rotations take us from our major medical centers, to community based hospitals and clinics, to homeless shelters and neighborhood health-care vans-all within the same week, often within the same day! I can't imagine a better collection of experiences for doctors in training. Julian Martinez,Yale University, YSM ''99

One of the most enjoyable aspects of life at Yale is that students have the opportunity of learning not only the scientific aspects of clinical medicine but also learning about the social and financial factors surrounding urban health care. The opportunity to train as a medical student in this setting is invaluable.
Joanne Quinones,Boston University, YSM '98
