SCHOLAR students are also exposed to rigorous academic programs in writing and SAT/college preparation. SCHOLAR students are selected competitively following the Freshman year and continue for as many as three successive summers. SCHOLAR graduates are noteworthy for their high level academic achievement and successful application to competitive colleges and universites throughout the country.
The Yale-Career Partnership and SCHOLAR have been supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health, The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and resources from Yale University. The SCHOLAR program was highlighted in the Yale Bulletin & Calendar and featured in the New Haven Register.
