Hi BioSTEPers,
We are conducting a survey of former BioSTEP students. More about that below. Filling out the survey form should take
no more than 5 to 10 minutes. You can do it all now or return later to complete. Here's how:
- Logging in:
- To login, you must use your social security number and a password of your own choice.
- Registering your password:
- You only have to do this once. On the login page, click on "Register to set password" and then fill in the requested
information. Your password should be at least 4 letters, numbers, or combination of both. The password is case sensitive. If
you forget your password later on, send us an e-mail (omca@yale.edu).
- Problems when logging in:
- We may not have your correct social security number or you are not entering the correct password. Send us an e-mail and be
sure to include your social security number.
- Filling in the survey form - your Profile:
- After you login, you will navigate to the actual survey form. Please fill it out!! The information you provide is your
Profile. It is confidential and only used by us to prepare summary data and information about the BioSTEP
program.
- Making corrections to your Profile:
- You may find that we have already entered some of the information on your Profile. Please correct any
mistakes.
- Printing your Profile:
- If you can print from your computer, you can print a copy of the information you enter for your own records.
- Logging out:
- Once you have completed the form, you can logout and return to the BioSTEP home page.
- Updating your profile:
- You can return any time in the future and complete, add, correct, or otherwise change the Profile information. Just
login again and you can gain access to your Profile.
What's this all about?
The Yale BioSTEP summer research program is now 10 years old. We started to call the program BioSTEP
(Biomedical Science Training and Enrichment Program) in 1996, so not all of you will remember us by that name. With some small
variations, the program has been about the same during the 10 years. From 1991 to 1996, ten students were supported each year.
From 1997 onward, our NIH grant funded 24 students per year. We now receive about 250 applications each year for these 24
positions!
We need your help in documenting what has happened to the BioSTEPers. We know about many of you. Others we haven't heard from
in a long time.
Remember to login anytime in the future if you want to add additional information. If you have problems, please e-mail us. We
really do want to know how you're doing -- so keep in touch.
Thanks for your help,
BioSTEP Staff
