Yale offers one of the most experienced reproductive endocrinology teams in the region. In fact, our In Vitro Fertilization Program was the first in New England to help a couple reach pregnancy through IVF. Since 1982, thousands of couples have started their families with the help of our team. We have brought together the widest range of medical and surgical reproductive techniques and approaches available. Our multidisciplinary team consists of reproductive specialists and specially trained laboratory staff, nurses, and counselors. With this approach, the number of options for couples with infertility problems continue to grow. Our egg donation and gestational carrier programs are examples of the latest approach for couples with female infertility due to ovulation difficulties, advanced age or other forms of reduced ovarian function or uterine problems. As we develop new techniques and procedures, we focus on quick recovery and increased success rates. That is why we established our outpatient laparoscopy, in which patients experience less painful surgery with reduced recovery time in an outpatient setting. Endometriosis often contributes to infertility problems. Yale is among the leading centers performing research and innovative treatments in this area. Beyond the childbearing years, menopause is a top concern for many women. Our specialists work closely with patients in this important stage in a woman’s life. |
