The total number of deaths caused by cerebrovascular disease decreased slightly from 1993 to 1994. In 1993 there was a total of 74 deaths and a death rate of 56.7/100,000. This total decreased slightly in 1994 to 64 deaths with a crude rate of 49.1/100,000. The death rate for nonwhite residents increased slightly from 23.2/100,000 in 1993 to 24.9/100,000 in 1994. The crude death rate for white residents was 69.7/100,000, significantly lower than in 1993 at 85.3/100,000.
