Deaths attributed to Septicemia increased to a total of 40 deaths in 1992. This total was significantly higher than the 1991 total of 24 deaths. The resident death rate for septicemia increased to 30.1/100,000 in 1992. Septicemia was ranked the 10th leading cause of death in 1991. Resident males had a lower death rate of 26.1/100,000 then females who had a rate of 34.7/100,000 for Septicemia. Residents who were 55 years of age and older accounted for 67% of all deaths caused by septicemia.
