The total number of deaths caused by cerebrovascular disease stayed about the same from 1989 to 1990. In 1989 there was a total of 92 deaths and a death rate of 73.0/100,000. This total decreased slightly in 1990 to 91 deaths with a crude rate of 69.7/100,000. The death rate for nonwhite residents decreased sharply from 39.8/100,000 in 1989 to 28.2/100,000 in 1990.
