There were 34 deaths attributed to Other and Unknown Causes of Morbidity and Mortality in 1989, including five infant deaths. Nonwhite residents had a high death rate of 31.8/100,000 than white residents of 22.9/100,000. Males had a greater incident of deaths (25) than females (9) while white female deaths were 6 compared to only 3 nonwhite female deaths. This is the second year this cause of death occurred in the ten leading causes of death.
