Professor of Neurosurgery Biographical SketchDr. Jullie W. Pan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery, Neurology and Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Pan is recognized for her work in high field metabolic MR human imaging and spectroscopy. With members of the Epilepsy Program, Dr Pan is leading a NIH supported trial to evaluate the possible therapeutic effects of creatine supplementation in epilepsy. She currently is on the editorial board of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. Dr. Pan also serves on the NIH Clinical Neuroscience study section review committee and she has been an invited speaker as well as presenter to various national and international conferences. General InterestsMetabolic physiology of brain with its influence on neurotransmission and brain function, development and implementation of imaging in humans at ultra-high field (7Tesla); metabolic pathophysiology of epilepsy, clinical epilepsy, epilepsy imaging and outcome studies.
