Biographical Sketch

Dr. Franklin C. Brown is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery, Neuropsychology Service. He provides neuropsychological evaluations to both adults and children. He completed a fellowship in both Clinical Neuropsychology and Neuroimaging through Dartmouth Medical School. He is particularly known for his development of a visual memory test, Brown Location Test (BLT) that was designed for the evaluation of epilepsy patients and has demonstrated sensitivity in identifying right temporal lobe dysfunction. As a result, he is involved in epilepsy research studies using this test at multiple sites in the United States and Norway. The BLT is also being studied among other patient populations such as those with Asperger's Disorder, Chemotherapy Patients, and Traumatic Brain Injuries.
