Neuromuscular Disorders
The Neuromuscular Program
provides primary and referral services for all disorders of the peripheral
nerves and muscles. We are a fully funded MDA-ALS clinic. We specialize in ALS, Myasthenia
Gravis, Myopathy (polymyositis,
dermatomyositis, inclusion body myositis),
Neuropathy (CIDP, CMT, Guillain-Barre, diabetic neuropathy, undiagnosed),
Muscular Dystrophy (FSH, Duchene,
Becker, Limb-Girdle, Myotonic, Oculopharyngeal),
Stiff-Man Syndrome, and related disorders.
The Neuromuscular Program is dedicated to the delivery of expert clinical
care as well as to the education of both patients and colleagues at all
levels of training. Members of the Program faculty are all board
certified/eligible neurologists with special training in neuromuscular
disease and clinical neurophysiology. The
Program is very active in basic science and clinical research with faculty as
members of both the North Eastern ALS Alliance and the World Federation of
Neurology ALS Consortium, and on the cutting edge of clinical ALS research.

Clinical Fellowships
The Department offers
a one-year ACGME accredited clinical fellowship in Neuromuscular Disorderes. The Fellowship covers all aspects of EMG/NC
studies, and also provides excellent clinical experience in managing
neuromuscular diseases, including Myasthenia Gravis, Guillain-Barré
Syndrome, Peripheral Neuropathy, CIDP, ALS, and all forms of Muscular Dystrophy.
The MDA clinic offers superb exposure to rare and uncommon muscular
disorders. Clinical research opportunities are also available. Applications
are being accepted for ongoing enrollment. Candidates should forward letter
