The book "Electrophysiology of the Neuron" is an interactive tutorial that comes with a computer disk for simulation of single neurons on a Macintosh or IBM-PC compatible computer. It is available from Oxford University Press ISBN # 0-19-509167-1 (mac) and 0-19- 509111-6 (PC) You can also download an updated version of the program, including a Windows version.

If you're interested, a free version of the computer software is available from John Huguenard's web site. This software and manual was written for the simulation of single thalamic neurons and runs on IBM-PC compatible Computers. Simulations of interconnected networks of neurons have been done in collaboration with Alain Destexhe and Terry Sejnowski.
