Figure 25a. The visual system contains neurons that are very
sensitive to motion (in area MT, for example). You can adapt these to give
a motion after-effect with the enclosed program. Run the program
and fixate on the middle of the twirling figure for about 10 seconds, then
look at your hand, computer keyboard, or other objects to make them squirm
for a few seconds.
