- (11/1/01): The beta version of YMD was released for pilot testing and use. Currently,
labs that participate in this pilot include: Kevin White's lab, Valerie Reinke's lab,
Keck Microarray Resource, and Ken Nelson's lab. These labs have image quantitative
data that were generated using GenePix. We are also working on the support of other
analysis programs such as QuantArray. YMD has the following features:
- Project management: this is an interface that allows users to manage their projects, subprojects, experiments, and hybridizations. This interface also allows the user to select the hybridization of interest for querying the quantitative data
- Genelist upload: this interface allows the user to upload a gene list (geometry and gene identifiers corresponding to a set of arrays). In addition, the interface allows to user to specify whether a gene list is private (i.e., it can only be accessed by the lab which owns it), public (i.e., it can be shared by all YMD labs), shared (i.e., it can be shared by the labs that are specified by the lab which owns it)
- The ability to link hybridization to the quantitative data.
- User management. This interface allows the user (PI or Admin users) to add and manage users within a lab.
- (9/20/00): Users of the YMD are now able to download via a web interface and ftp, .tif
images and their accompanying information (text) files from microarrays that have been
scanned by the Keck DNA Microarray Core Laboratory.
- Both the image and text files will be archived on a server that will be maintained by
ITS-Med.
- Within one week we hope to have the capability to allow individual users to upload and
archive their GenePix and QuantArray analysis results (as tab delimited text files)
obtained on microarray .tif images stored on the YMD.
