Associate Professor Ida Jean Orlando authors "The Dynamic Nurse-Patient Relationship: Function, Process, and Principles".

Research Associate Virginia Henderson authors Volume IV (1957-1959) of the "Nursing Studies Index". Volume III (1950-1956) is published in 1966; Volume II (1930-1949) is published in 1970; and Volume I (1900-1929) is published in 1972.

Associate Professor Ernestine Wiedenbach authors "Clinical Nursing: A Helping Art".


1965

Margaret Gene Arnstein is first woman recipient of the Rockefeller Public Service Award.


1966

Research Associate Virginia Henderson authors "The Nature of Nursing: A definition and Its Implications for Practice, Research, and Education".

Florence Wald resigns as Dean (effective 1967) to start preparation for her historic work in starting hospice in the United States.
