Sterling Dormitory

1930

Students move to Sterling Dormitory after first term at Nathan Smith Hall to be closer to the hospital.

1932

Annie Warburton Goodrich authors The Social and Ethical Significance of Nursing.

1932-1934

Effie Jane Taylor is President of the National League for Nursing Education.

1934

Admission requirement is now a bachelor's degree.



Yale Corporation authorizes the Master of Nursing Degree.

Effie Jane Taylor named second Dean of the Yale University School of Nursing.

1937

First class graduates with Master of Nursing Degree.

1937-1947

Effie Jane Taylor is President of the International Council of Nurses. She holds the organization together during the war years.
