Amusement Parks and Entertainment

You are either into amusement parks or you aren't. If you are, there are two very nice family-oriented venues within an hour or so of New Haven: Lake Compounce (which is the oldest continuously operating Amusement Park in America) and Six Flags New England. Both have just recently added new state-of-the-art roller-coasters - both coasters are well worth the visit. Gambling has also arrived in Connecticut, specifically in southeastern Connecticut at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun.
