Figure-1.
EGF-r RT-PCR assay sensitivity. Serial dilutions of HeLa cells (1, 10, 50, 100, 1000 cell/sample) were added to 2 ml of whole blood samples. Samples were then treated with succinyl-linked gelatin to separate all nucleated cells; total RNA was extracted from the gelatin pellet by Trizol-LS according to the manufacturer's instructions. Lanes 1-5: [beta]-actin RT-PCR; lanes 8-12: EGF-r RT-PCR. Lanes 1-5 and 8-12 show serial dilutions of HeLa cells; lanes 6 and 13 show control samples without HeLa.
