In addition to electronic repair and custom machining services, we loan tools and make our space available for qualified faculty, staff, and students. We also keep a wide variety of spare parts and supplies in stock, which are available for purchase.
All of the following machinery is available for direct use by qualified faculty, staff, and students at a nominal hourly fee. Please contact us beforehand if you will need instruction and training.
The Shop is fully equipped with small hand tools and power tools which can be borrowed by personnel in the Yale medical community. The equipment is signed out (name, department, telephone number & valid Yale ID) and is expected to be returned the next working day.
Hardware: |
Stainless Steel machine screws sizes 0-80 to 3/8" of various lengths and head configuration, wood screws, metric screws, dowel pins, roller pins, hinges, and a collection of often hard to find small parts. |
Metals: |
Aluminum bar stock 1/8" to 2", aluminum plate 1/8" to 1/2", aluminum sheet metal, various sizes of angle aluminum, stainless steel bars 1/8" to 3", stainless steel metal, drill rod, brass, and copper. |
Plastics: |
Plexiglass sheets (1/8" to 1"), polycarbonate sheets (1/8" to 1/2"), round stock of both, rods and tubes from 1/8" to 5" diameter, teflon, delrin, polysulfone, and nylon are also stocked. |
