Pulmonary Function Lab (PFT)

Pulmonary function testing and training in pulmonary function test (PFT) evaluation are undertaken in the Y-NHH PFT laboratory. Under the direction of Dr. Geoffrey Chupp and with the technical leadership of Ms. Gail M. Flynn , the lab has tripled in patient volume over the last few years. In addition to stat of the art spirometry, lung volume and diffusion assessments the laboratory is being increasingly called on for methacholine and exercise challenges, airplane/altitude simulations, shunt studies, exercise evaluations, and the measurement of Fractional Exhaled nitric oxide(FENO).
