HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?

Each shop will be evaluated for one week. We should cause little interference with normal work. For one working week, we will conduct breathing tests before and after work shifts at the body shop. All participating workers will be asked to complete a respiratory health questionnaire (approximately 30 minutes long), monitor their breathing using a peak flow meter, and give blood. The industrial hygienists will take measurements of air samples to determine personal exposure levels to the isocyanates during this week. Participants will be also asked every 30 minutes during their work shifts about the tasks they did in order for the survey team to fill out a work diary.

• Participate in a free industrial hygiene evaluation and respiratory health survey.

• Financial compensation will be offered for your participation in the survey.
