Professor of Medicine B.A., 1963: University of Wisconsin E-mail: asghar.rastegar@yale.edu
As a clinician and educator, my primary interest is in the broad field of clinical nephrology as well as internal medicine. I am especially interested in educational innovations in teaching both basic and clinical medicine. I continue to be actively involved at both levels bringing relevant basic information to the bedside. I am interested in curriculum design in general, and therefore spend a good deal of my time in the development of programs for students and residents. I have a special interest in the area of acid-base and electrolyte disturbances and find this area very adaptable to innovative teaching. I continue to be actively involved in educational and clinical issues in the Third World, and through ISN council on Global Advancement in Nephrology participate in educational projects in the Middle East and Russia
