In my laboratory we are interested in studying structure-functional aspects
of epithelial sodium channels. These proteins are members of a new family
of ion channels with a novel structure that remains to be elucidated.
The epithelial sodium channels play an important role in the maintenance
of the extracellular volume and blood pressure thus their activity is
regulated by many hormones and environmental factors. We are also working
on various aspects of the functional regulation of these proteins.
