Fellowship OverviewThe Department of Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine offers the choice of a 3-track geriatrics fellowship program. The unique strengths of the Yale program include expertise in clinical care, experience in education and curriculum design, and highly skilled and productive clinical investigators. The multi-faceted resources available in clinical, educational and research spheres make this an outstanding program with a variety of experiences to offer each fellow, wherever his/her interests may lie. One-year Clinical Program:Provides a strong clinical base and skills in geriatric medicine with eligibility to sit for the board examination and gain certification in Geriatric Medicine. Two-year Clinician-Educator Program:Trains fellows in both clinical practice and educational scholarship, including curriculum development. Three-year Clinician-Research Program:Provides a strong clinical base, research skills in clinical epidemiology, and an intensive research experience under the mentorship of an experienced geriatric physician investigator
