Geriatric Medicine

Each fellow will gain formal training in teaching, will be the primary educator for medical students, internal medicine residents, and specialists, e.g., residents and faculty in surgery and gynecology. Fellows will learn how to use a variety of resources, including web-based teaching materials, virtual patients, small-group workshops for medical students, resident curriculum design, and program evaluation.

Geriatric Research

The Yale program provide intensive research training for physicians interested in evaluating and developing innovative approaches to the care of older people. Clinical epidemiology is the "basic science" which provides rigorous methods for the investigation of clinical strategies, medical decision-making, outcomes, ethics, health policy and delivery of care.
