Training
Clinical ActivitiesDr. Wilson's clinical interests are in general internal medicine and HIV care. She sees general internal medicine patients in her Yale Internal Medicine Associates practice. She provides HIV care to patients both within the YIMA practice and at the Nathan Smith Clinic. Also within her YIMA practice, Dr. Wilson provides medical forensic evaluations and affadavits for victims of torture who are seeking asylum in the U.S.
Teaching ActivitiesDr. Wilson's teaching interests are in the doctor-patient relationship and in medical interviewing. She is a member of the Interviewing Skills Taskforce and leads regular seminars for 1st and 2nd year medical students in aspects of the medical interview. She participates in a 4-year course which partners first year students with a physician and an HIV positive patient, and facilitates case-based seminars for the Principles of Clinical Reasoning course. In addition, she attends annually on the inpatient medical service, precepts residents in her practice and has precepted residents in both the AIDS clinic and in PCC Ambulatory Block. Administrative ActivitiesDr. Wilson is Director of Yale Internal Medicine Associates and is interested in improving the delivery of clinical care in the academic environment. She has developed standards that have improved the productivity and efficiency of clinical care within Yale Internal Medicine Associates, and is collaborating with other members of the department to improve the financial health of the ambulatory subspecialty practice.
